Mike Garner is one of the founding principals of Athena. He has an extensive background in commercial property management, having managed directly or indirectly over 10 million square feet of office and retail, throughout Arizona and California.

As President of Athena, Mr. Garner is responsible for directing the daily operations of the company, which include oversight of property management and leasing. Mr. Garner also coordinates the firm’s client relations, marketing and public relations. Prior to forming Athena in 2011, Mr. Garner was a Regional Director for Vestar Property Management, a West Coast retail property owner of power, community, specialty and neighborhood centers located throughout Central and Southern California and Arizona. In this capacity he supervised a division responsible for six million square feet of retail property. Mr. Garner graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate Finance.

Mr. Garner also possesses a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, is a Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager ( SCSM), a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and holds a California Department of Real Estate Brokers license. Mr. Garner is also an active member of the ICSC Program Committee for Orange County, California.
